Lee’s Summit
Baseball Board of Directors (COVID-19) Update – Saturday, March 14, 2020
Lee’s
Summit, MO — Lee’s Summit Baseball
Association (LSBA) is taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of
Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lee’s Summit.
At this time, we will
continue to monitor the situation and meet with our community partners
including but not limited to Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation, Lee’s Summit R7
School district, and City Officials. Effective 3/14/2020 we are suspending all
practices at our venues until further notice. At this time, we have no plans to
cancel the season, however, as this is a fluid situation, conditions may change.
LSBA will provide additional information as it becomes available.
The
best way to prevent the spread of any illness is avoid being exposed and
practicing everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of disease:
· Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and
water; use hand-sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap and water is not
available
· Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing
· Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with hands
· Avoid contact with others who are sick or are
showing symptoms
· Stay at home and avoid participation in
activities if sick or are showing symptoms
· Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects
and surfaces with household cleaning sprays or wipes
· Practice social distancing-give 6 feet of space
from others
LSBA will continue to
provide periodic updates for the education and awareness of our patrons. Check LSBA’s webpage at https://www.lsbaseball.com/, our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/leessummitbaseballassociation/, or the City of
Lee’s Summit coronavirus webpage at https://cityofls.net/coronavirus for updates as we monitor information on the
progress of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
