Training is required to umpire in LSBA -1st and 2nd year umpires must attend three classroom training sessions and 2 field training sessions. Umpires with 3 to 4 years experience must attend two classroom training sessions and 1 weekend field training session. Managers and coaches are welcome to attend and observe umpire training.

1st and 2nd year umpires are required to attend the entire four days (both weekends) of On-Field training sessions, this is mandatory, no exceptions.
3rd and 4th year umpires need to attend 2 days (one entire weekend) of On-Field training, this is mandatory, no exceptions.
RAINOUT DATE FOR ON-FIELD TRAINING (ONLY IF NEEDED):
April 3rd and 4th @ Legacy Park Baseball Fields
Saturday 9am till 5pm
Sunday 1pm till 5pm
On-field training is REQUIRED to umpire for L.S. Baseball.
On-field training will be held as long as it is not raining or snowing or the temperatures are below freezing. If we cancel training we will put it on the L.S. Baseball rainout line which is 816 757-2500.
Please dress warm and bring your own drinks and lunch as none will be available at the ball park. We will break at 12pm till 1pm on Saturdays for lunch.
Wear your complete umpire uniform and bring all your umpire equipment as we will be having live game simulation that you will be working behind the plate.
