National League High School

National League High School is a competitive league for players ages 15 through 18. There will be 2 divisions: 16U and 18U. Individual players do not register for this league. Registration is by team only and allows Lee’s Summit based teams a place to play in a competitive environment.
Early registration is open now and limited to Lee's Summit teams after which, if space is available, registration will be opened to non-Lee's Summit teams beginning December 31, 2012. Online registration will be open through April. A Lee's Summit team is a team that has no more than five non-Lee's Summit players. A Lee's Summit player is one who lives within the boundaries of the Lee's Summit R7 School District and/or the City of Lee's Summit.
The team fee is $1,500. A non-refundable $500 deposit by credit card, made online, is required at the time of
registration. The remaining $1,000 is due early May by check in order for you to be included in the schedule.

The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board requires that all mangers participate in at least two hours of training annually. More information will be given for further details.
Also, all managers and on-field coaches must complete a Background Check which is done by a third party vendor which will charge a fee for this proces. Scroll down and Click on “Background Check” on the lower left side of the lsbaseball.com home page. Fill out the form and submit on line.
Manager check-in will be mid May at Billy Goat Industries.
Rosters are due at the manager check-in meeting. The blank roster form from the LSBA website must be used and filled out including all signatures for parents and players. Attached to the roster shall be a verification of date of birth for each player. A copy of a birth certificate or driver's license will work.
Ages will be based on High School grade and age. If a player does not meet age restriction, they must play in the next higher division. The Age cut-off is April 30th, which means whatever a player is on April 30th of the current baseball season, is the age group that they will play in for that season.
Divisions will play double headers on random days, Monday- Thursday.
Each division will play a 12-game schedule plus all teams will be provided entry into a Triple Crown Tournament at Legacy Park such as:

Games will begin in late May and the last game will be played around the second week of July, or later depending on weather. Make-up games will be played at Legacy Park. Traditionally because of weather, a “make-up game weekend” will be established. Please do not schedule an out of town tournament on the weekend that gets established for make-ups. There WILL be make-ups necessary. At least arrange to be able to play a make-up on Friday or Sunday night of the make-up.
Coaches Please Note: Game baseballs are provided to all teams. Practice fields are not provided. Teams are responsible for obtaining their own uniforms and equipment.
