The National League is a competitive league for players ages 8 through 18. Individual players do not register for this league, registration is by team only and allows Lee’s Summit based teams and non-Lees Summit teams to register to play baseball in a competitive environment in Lee’s Summit at Legacy Park.
For National League - High School information click here.
Early registration is limited to Lee's Summit teams, after which registration will be opened to non-Lee's Summit teams. Early online registration begins Dec. 1 for Lees Summit teams and Dec. 31 for non-Lees Summit teams. A Lee's Summit team is a team that has no more than five non-Lee's Summit players. A Lee's Summit player is one who lives within the boundaries of the Lee's Summit school district and/or the City of Lee's Summit.
The 8U division is a machine pitch division and we also offer a 9U division which is our first year kid pitch division. We offer 2 divisions for the 10U -14U being an AA and AAA. The AA division is for teams just getting started or teams that are still building. The AAA divsion is for teams that are highly competitive. We do not monitor or move teams to a division due to records from previous years, but managers should consider they don’t do their teams justice by playing teams that are not up to their team’s level. We also offer a 60/90 division for the 14UAAA, it is for teams with players that want to get ready for their high school baseball careers. The team fee for all divisions is $1,500. A non-refundable $500 deposit by credit card is required at the time of registration. We only accept registration on-line using sportsmanger which is a secure site.
The age cut off for National League players is April 30th, which means whatever age a player is on April 30th of the current baseball season is the age group that they will play in for that season.
All divisions, 8U - 14U, will play a twelve (12) game schedule.
All divisions, 8U-14U, will be provided entry into one Triple Crown tournament at Legacy Park.
8U thru 14U games will begin around the 1st week of April. 10AA and 11-14 AA and AAA will play a doubleheader schedule. Games will be scheduled on Mondays – Thursday.
Coaches – Please Note: Game baseballs are provided to all teams. Practice fields are provided to Lee's Summit teams on a limited basis and available as first come first serve. Teams are responsible for obtaining their own uniforms and equipment.
The Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation Board requires that all managers receive at least two hours of training annually. More information will be given for further details.
There is a mandatory Managers Meeting which will be posted on home page when determined, it is required because this is is when your balance of your team fee and rosters will be due and information that is important to your season will be given out.
All managers and on field coaches must submit and pass a background check which is done by an outside vendor which will charge a fee for this process.
Rosters are due at the manager check-in meeting.
The blank roster form from the LSBA website must be used and filled out including all parents’ and players’ signatures. Attached shall be a verification of date of birth of each player. A legible copy of player’s birth certificate must be supplied. To speed up roster check in we ask that you put player’s birth certificates in the order that they are listed on the roster and please use a highlighter pen and highlight the players name and date of birth.
The Included Triple Crown Tournament is only good at tournaments at Legacy Park.
