National League

The National League is a competitive league for players ages 9 through 18. Individual players do not register for this leagues, registration is by team only and allows Lee’s Summit based teams register to play in a competitive environment.

Early registration is limited to Lee's Summit teams after which, if space is available, registration will be opened to non-Lee's Summit teams during the month of January.  Early online registration begins Dec. 1, 2009.  A Lee's Summit team is a team that has no more than five non-Lee's Summit players. A Lee's Summit player is one who lives within the boundaries of the Lee's Summit school district and/or the City of Lee's Summit. 

The 9U division is limited to 12 teams. All other divisions are limited to 10 teams.  The team fee is $1,500.  A non-refundable $500 deposit by credit card is required at the time of registration.

The age cut off for National League players is April 30th, which means whatever age a player is on April 30, 2010 - that is the age group they will play in for the 2010 season. 
All divisions, 9U - 14U, will play a twelve (12) game schedule.
All divisions, 9U-14U, will be provided entry into tournament with a format and dates to be determined.
9U thru 14U games will begin after the 1st of April, 2010.
 
Coaches – Please Note: Game baseballs are provided to all teams. Practice fields are provided to Lee's Summit teams. Teams are responsible for obtaining their own uniforms and equipment.
The Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation Board requires that all managers receive at least two hours of training annually. More information will be given for further details.

There is a mandatory Managers Meeting on Monday, Feb. 22nd at Prairie View Elementary.

The following dates have been scheduled for training:
Monday March 15th, 7:00-9:00. Legacy Community Center.
Monday April 19th, 7:00-9:00. Legacy Community Center.

All managers and coaches must complete a Background Check Form and submit it at manager check in.
Rosters are due at the manager check-in meeting in March 23, 2010 at Billy Goat Industries. The blank roster form from the LSBA website must be used and filled out including all parents’ and players’ signatures. Attached shall be a verification of date of birth of each player.
