American League

The American League is for ages 5 through 16. All divisions except Colt have minimum participation rules. All players register with LSBA.

New players to LSBA (or players that have not played in LSBA since 2007) need to fill out the New Player Preregistration
form to allow on line registration.

On line registration is by credit card only. Credit card, check,or cash will be accepted at the in person signups on both
Saturday, Februray 25, at Lee's Summit Hospital, or Saturday, March 3, at Paradise Park between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

Anyone who registers prior to March 4, will be receive an early bird registration that is $10.00 below the normal registration fee.

T-ball - This division is for players who are 5 years old (birthday from May 1, of the previous year thru April 30, of the current year). It is a non-competitive training division, no scores are kept, and the fundamentals of baseball are taught. The baseball is hit off a "tee", all players play in the field at least every other inning and all teams bat the roster. Players are placed on teams by the Division Representative. Parents may request that a player be placed on a specific team and, if possible, the request will be honored.

Coaches Pitch - This division is for players who are 6 years old (birthday from May 1, of the previous year thru April 30, of the current year). It is a non-competitive training division, no scores are kept, and the fundamentals of baseball are taught. Coaches pitch to the batter, all players play in the field at least every other inning and all teams bat the roster. Players are placed on teams by the Division Representative. Parents may request that a player be placed on a specific team and, if possible, the request will be honored.

Rookie Ball - This division is for players who are 7 years old (birthday from May 1, of the previous year thru April 30, of the current year). It is a non-competitive training division, no scores are kept, and the fundamentals of baseball are taught. A pitching machine is used, all players play in the field at least every other inning and all teams bat the roster. Players are placed on teams by the Division Representative. Parents may request that a player be placed on a specific team and, if possible, the request will be honored.

Pinto - This division is for players who are 8 years old (birthday from May 1, of the previous year thru April 30, of the current year). A pitching machine is used, all players play in the field at least every other inning and all teams bat the roster. Players are placed on teams by the Division Representative. Mustang 9 - This division is for players who are 9 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru April 30, of the current year). Players are assigned to a team through either a draft, recruitment (two per team), or sponsor designated player (one per team). Each player must play at least every other inning in the field and players bat the roster.

Mustang 10 - This division is for players who are 10 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru July 31, of the current year). Players are assigned to the team they played with in Mustang 9. New players are assigned through a draft. Each player must play at least every other inning in the field and players bat the roster.

Bronco 11 - This division is for players who are 11 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru July 31, of the current year). Players are assigned to a team through either a draft, recruitment (three per team), or sponsor designated player (one per team). Each player must play at least two innings in the field in before the completion of the fifth inning game and players bat the roster.

Bronco 12 - This division is for players who are 12 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru July 31, of the current year). Players are assigned to the team they played with in Bronco 11. New players are assigned through a draft. Each player must play at least two innings in the field in before the completion of the fifth inning game and players bat the roster.

Pony - This division is for players who are 13 or 14 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru July 31, of the current year). Players are assigned to a team through either a draft, recruitment (four per team), or sponsor designated player (one per team). Each player must play at least two innings in the field in before the completion of the fifth inning game and players bat the roster.

Colt - This division is for players who are 15 or 16 years old (birthday from August 1, of the previous year thru July 31, of the current year). All games are in Lee’s Summit.
